FAQ
Every BAPORSSA collection offers polarized options, ensuring you don't have to sacrifice style for performance.
1. How is a Polarized Lens Different from a Standard UV400 Sunglass?
Standard UV400 Lenses: They primarily work by reducing overall light intensity and providing health protection against 100% of UVA and UVB rays. They dim the world but do not eliminate glare.
Polarized Lenses:They offer UV400 protectionplusaglare-eliminating function. They contain a special vertical filter thatselectively blocksthe intense, reflective horizontal glare bouncing off flat surfaces like water or roads. This results in sharper vision, enhanced contrast, and significantly reduced eye strain.
2. Should I Purchase Polarized Sunglasses specifically for Driving?
Absolutely recommended. Polarized lenses are the optimal choice for driving because they virtually eliminate harsh, reflective glare from the road surface, other car windshields, and wet asphalt. This not only increases visual comfort but also significantly enhances your safety by allowing you to clearly spot hazards, signs, and traffic lights, especially in bright conditions.
3. How Can I Test My BAPORSSA Polarized Lenses to Verify the Function?
You can easily perform the "Phone Screen Test" at home:
- Hold your BAPORSSA sunglasses up to your eye and look at your cell phone or computer screen (LCD/LED).
- Keep your glasses steady and rotate the screen 90 degrees.
- If the lens is polarized, you will see the screen darken significantly or appear to turn black at a specific angle. If the brightness remains unchanged, the lens is not polarized.
4. Will Polarized Lenses Affect My View of Phone Screens or Car Navigation?
Yes, they might slightly. Modern LCD/LED screens use their own polarized filter. When you look at these screens through your polarized lenses, the two filters might align to cancel each other out, causing the screen to appear darkened or display a rainbow effect. This is a normal physical property of polarization and can usually be solved by slightly adjusting your head or screen angle.
5. Do Polarized Lenses Require Special Cleaning and Maintenance?
Yes, but it is simple. Because polarized lenses have a delicate film layer, you must avoid using alcohol or ammonia-based cleaners. Please follow this simple 3-Step Guide:
- Rinse: Use clean, cool water first to wash away dust and grit to prevent scratching.
- Clean: Use only mild, non-lotion dish soap and water.
- Dry: Only use the microfiber cloth provided by BAPORSSA to gently wipe the lenses.
